Modern Slavery Policy Statement
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
Marlowe Consulting has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. The Company is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all of its business dealings and relationships, implementing and enforcing effective controls, processes and procedures to ensure modern slavery is not happening anywhere in its business, its clients or supply chains.
Marlowe Consulting is also committed to ensuring transparency in our own business and our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our client’s business and supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The organisation expects high standards from our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners.
This policy applies to all persons working for Marlowe Consulting on its behalf. This includes employees, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.
Responsibility for the policy
Marlowe Consulting Ltd has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy complies with our legal and ethical obligations and that all those under the organisation’s control comply with it.
The Company has responsibility for implementing a modern slavery policy, monitoring its use and effectiveness, dealing with any queries, and auditing internal processes and procedures to ensure they effectively counter modern slavery.
Communication & awareness
Management at all levels is responsible for ensuring those reporting to them understand and are given adequate and regular training on modern slavery and the issue of modern slavery in supply chains.
Training and awareness on Modern Slavery and the risk Marlowe Consultancy faces from modern slavery in its supply chains forms part of the staff and consultant’s induction process. Internal controls, processes and procedures are designed to prevent modern slavery. They are subject to regular audits to ensure effective practice with updates communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners and reinforced at the outset of business relationships.
